Red Fern Studio was founded in 1998 by artist Carl G. Fougerousse to execute works carrying on in the great lineage of classical and traditional figurative and decorative art.
The studio designs and produces sculptures, stained glass, mosaics, murals, and building designs and has completed projects for churches, healthcare facilities, universities, restaurants, and private residences throughout the United States and Europe. Mr. Fougerousse earned his BA in Philosophy at Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio and his MFA (specializing in figurative painting) at the New York Academy of Art. In addition to his fine art practice, Fougerousse has taught drawing and painting at Savannah College of Art and Design, the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, D.C., and art history at Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah. He has also lectured and exhibited his works at New York University, Franciscan University of Steubenville, and New York’s Sheen Center for the Arts among others, and at conferences and parishes across the country and abroad. Mr. Fougerousse currently runs his studio and teaches painting, sculpture, and art history in Gaming, Austria, at Franciscan University of Steubenville's study abroad program. |
