About Us

​Red Fern Studio was founded in 1998 by artist Carl G. Fougerousse to execute ecclesiastical works steeped in the tradition of Catholic figurative and decorative art.

The studio designs and produces stained glass, mosaics, murals, sculptures, and interiors and has completed projects for churches, healthcare facilities, universities, restaurants, and private residences throughout the United States and Europe.

Mr. Fougerousse earned his BA in Philosophy at Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio and his MFA (specializing in figurative painting) at the New York Academy of Art.

In addition to his fine art practice, Fougerousse has taught drawing and painting at Savannah College of Art and Design, the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, D.C., and art history at
Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah. He has also lectured at New York University,
Franciscan University of Steubenville, and New York’s Sheen Center for the Arts, and at conferences and parishes across the country.
